During kick off ’08, the Vice Presidents « Talent Management » (= human resources managers) of all Switzerland (VPTM from LC Bern, Zurich, Geneva, Fribourg, Basel… and Lausanne of course) had the opportunity to meet and share their experience.
On Saturday and Sunday, we got theoretical education from Sara and Anna, the national managers for Talent Management (MCVPTM, if you’re ok with all these aiesec abbreviations). We listened carefully, in order to acquire the right tools to manage our LC… so in order to take care of all of you, dear members of LC Lausanne ;-). But we also had a lot of fun, discussing all these issues under the sun (I even got sunburned!).
As a start, we summarized all that we’ve done in our LC up to now : recruitment in March ’08 (huuuuge task for all of the VPsTM !!), allocation of newies in teams (not easy to please everbody’s desires…), induction (do you remember the quizz?;), preparation for kick off, and so on.
Some of us came to the conclusion that as VPsTM, we sometimes feel like being the « mother » of the LC little family… So I guess the President of the LC must be the father ! What’s your opinion Mister LCP Sergio? Or I should maybe rather say the « Godfather of the bolivian mafia », instead of just father ;-)
